SOG Knives F17N BadAxe Backcountry Axe

The SOG Backcountry Axe is called the BadAxe for a reason-actually for two!  Hidden inside the reinforced fiberglass handle is a nifty saw complete with a self-deploying hand guard, making the Backcountry Axe a twofer-two tools in one!  The raw forged 1055C hardened steel head of the BadAxe is securely joined to the fiberglass core handle, while the cutout at the bottom of the 3" blade decreases friction when cutting.  The flat back on the head provides a perfect tool for hammering nails or tent stakes.  The variable-tooth saw, which clips securely inside the handle but is easily removed, provides a great tool for clearing brush or removing small branches, making the BadAxe a perfect option for hunters as well as campers!  Overall length of 16", with a carrying weight of 29 ounces.  A molded sheath with a belt clip for safe, secure carrying is included.
